Applications Deadline is on 15th January, 2019 The Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) is a cooperation project of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and the University of Bayreuth, Germany. It is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The TGCL offers a structured LLM study programme at the School of Law, University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and trains aspiring young East African lawyers, qualifying them for leading positions in the region and beyond. 1. Application Requirements TGCL invites applications from candidates from the East African Community Partner States (i.e. Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda) for LLM studies starting 1 November 2019. Machel-Mandela Fellowship 2019 for Young African Graduates (Fully Funded to Johannesburg) Deadline September 30, 2018. The Brenthurst Foundation is again accepting applications from young graduates for the Machel-Mandela Fellowship Programme, named in honour of former South African President Nelson Mandela and his wife, Graça Machel. Entry into the Programme is a highly competitive, with the overall aim being to help nurture Africa’s future leaders. Details: The Fellowship runs full-time for a minimum of six months and is open to both South African and international candidates, with the selected candidate expected to take up the appointment at the Foundation’s headquarters in Johannesburg in April 2019.
